Organization Structure of English Literature

To all of those who are interested in English Literature Department of Gunadarma University.

Gunadarma University has a long and illustrious history, as well as the Faculty of Letters and Cultures which was established on April 3,1996. One of the faculty’s renowned study programme is the English Literature Programme. The Programme has had a great number of students since it was founded. Currently, there are 257 freshmen, 267 sophomores, 271 juniors, and 223 seniors. Throughout the years, there have been a great number of graduates and their competence have allowed them to take highly referred professions such teachers, civil servants, employees, interpreters, entrepreneurs.

The English Literature Programme envisions to have a significant contribution in increasing the nation’s competitiveness in the field of English Literature, through the combination of the knowledge and application of English literature with technology. In order to fulfil this vision, the department is supported by highly competent lecturers who mostly hold doctorate degree, the language and drama laboratories for students to apply their knowledge, and the seminars as well as workshops for both the students and lecturers to increase their knowledge. The English Literature Programme also holds annual competitions to further develop the students’ competence, to ensure their competitiveness in order they will graduate with great qualifications, to compare and compete their English literature qualifications with students from other institutions.
