Data Processing Workshop with SEM-AMOS (Structural Equation Model) by Universitas Gunadarma’s Faculty of Letters and Culture
Universitas Gunadarma’s Faculty of Letters and Culture held a workshop namely Data Processing Workshop with SEM-AMOS (Structural Equation Model) on 20 August 2021 with Dr. Aris Budi Setyawan as the speaker and Dr. Dr. Ichwan Suyudi as the moderator. As cited in the IMB website, IBM® SPSS® Amos is a powerful structural equation modeling (SEM) software to help and support our research and theories by extending standard multivariate analysis methods, including regression, factor analysis, correlation and analysis of variance. Dr. Aris Budi Setyawan shares his knowledge on what is the best practice to use SEM-AMOS as the data processor.
As researchers, we can use the software to process complicated data to help us get the result. Dr. Aris said that SEM modeling is not to create the model, but it tests the model through empirical data. It can be conducted with a two-step modeling approach. The first is to develop a measurement model, and the second is a structural causality model.
The workshop is expected to have a second session to help us understand the use of the software completely. The second one might contain more detail about the feature and other questions related to the data processing.
