The programme learning objectives have been set up to meet the National Standards of Higher Education (SN DIKTI) in four scopes: Attitudes, Knowledge, Specific \u00a0and \u00a0General \u00a0Skills \u00a0proclaimed \u00a0by \u00a0the \u00a0Ministry\u00a0 of \u00a0Education \u00a0and \u00a0Culture \u00a0of \u00a0the Republic of \u00a0Indonesia \u00a0(KEMDIKBUD \u00a0RI),\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) of UPEL are stated as follows:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The graduates \u00a0acquire \u00a0knowledge, \u00a0skills \u00a0and \u00a0attitudes \u00a0related \u00a0to \u00a0language \u00a0skills, linguistics, literature and related disciplines to be implemented in society.<\/li>\n
  2. The graduates are able to develop their public communication skills to interact with others<\/li>\n
  3. The graduates acquire knowledge on the research methodology, applicable to English language, linguistics, literature, translation and multiple disciplines.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      \n
    1. The graduates are able to develop their entrepreneurial skills related to the language skills they have.<\/li>\n
    2. The graduates are able to pursue a career path in the job market that is related to English.<\/li>\n
    3. The graduates are able to adapt with the new shifts at the workplace.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \u00a0<\/p>\n

      The UPEL formulates the Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs) as the following:<\/p>\n

      1. Students acquire English proficiency equivalent to level B1 of CEFR for minim<\/li>\n
      2. Students are able to apply basic concepts and theories of English linguistics to answer problems of linguistic phenomena<\/li>\n
      3. Students are able to apply appropriate theories and rules to translate general and specific texts.<\/li>\n
      4. Students are able to teach English based on appropriate methods and approaches.<\/li>\n
      5. Students are able to communicate using English in a cross-cultural context<\/li>\n
      6. Students are able to understand and review various forms of literary works including<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 prose, drama and poetry.<\/p>\n

        1. Students are able to work independently by using knowledge and skills in English by making creative works.<\/li>\n
        2. Students are able to provide language services in English for the needs in the job market.<\/li>\n
        3. Students are able to apply cultural concepts and theories to analyse socio-cultural phenomena in English<\/li>\n
