On May 22nd, 2023, UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta held an International Webinar about Language Application in Digital Media. There are 3 (three) speakers in this webinar, there are DR. Agung Prasetyo Wibowo, S. S., M. Sas. from Universitas Gunadarma, SF. Lukfianka Sanjaya, M. A. from UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta and Miss Saemah Shamim from Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia. SF. Lukfianka talked about Video Game Subtitling, how he as a game developer shares his ideas about how the game should be translated to Indonesian. DR. Agung presented the theme of dubbing, that is The Art of Dubbing: Theory, Practice and Research Opportunity. He shared the main purpose of dubbing is to localize a movie or video games into a wider market and increase the range, mainly for kids and family. The comparison between dubbing and subtitling is also mentioned, as well as the method and strategy to translate it. Miss Saemah Shamim brought Literature in the Digital Era. In this digital era, social media profoundly influenced language use, literary expression and the way we communicate.\u00a0<\/p>\n
